New Panteg played Crumlin for the second consecutive Saturday and were grateful to good neighbours West Mon for the use of their pitch as Jarrolds Field resembled a potato patch. The coaches made numerous changes from the previous week but this made little difference as New Panteg racked up the points on their plucky opponents. Despite the inclement weather in the lead up to the game the Skew fields were surprisingly firm which complimented Panteg’s expansive game. Nine tries were scored by the hosts that afternoon by Alex Gwatkin, Cameron Alcock, Dan Young, Alex Walker, Joel Hamer and two each for Lewis Bury and Johnny Munro. Try scoring tighthead Walker was named the man of steel for his excellent work in the tight but more so for his exceptional ball carrying abilities.
